Finding a dental implant dentist
 

When getting dental implants, you should select a dentist or dental team with in-depth knowledge and prior experience with all aspects of the treatment. At Show Me Smiles we have this expertise.

It is also important to know that implant treatment consists of two components: a surgical phase and a restorative phase.

Traditionally, a dental surgeon, like an oral surgeon or a periodontist, performs the surgical component.  A general dentist, or prosthodontist and laboratory technician performs the restorative component.  However, as implant dentistry has become more sophisticated, sometimes a dentist who specializes in restorative dentistry conducts the entire procedure.

Reese, DDS, PC is a practice of General Dentistry.  This provider is not a specialist in Orthodontics (braces), Endodontics (root canals), Periodontics (gum therapy or surgery), Oral Surgery (extractions), or Prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, full or partial dentures).  Bleaching, cosmetic dentistry, implantology, implant dentistry, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) therapy are non-specialty interest areas that require no specific educational training to advertise these services.  Conscious sedation is taught as a part of post-graduate residency programs approved by the American Dental Association.  Dr. Reese has not completed an American Dental Association approved residency program in which conscious sedation is taught.
